Featured VA - Susan Stott - SMS Business Support, Tyne and Wear, UK

Sue started as a Virtual Assistant in June 2012 as SMS Typing Services after being made redundant for the second time. Her business has now progressed and rebranded as SMS Business Support in November 2014, offering a professional Virtual Assistant service to SMEs and professionals helping them to ‘free up time in the day to day running of their businesses.

Sue has over 30 years’ experience in secretarial and admin, also as a qualified CIPD Learning and Development co-ordinator.

Sue was announced as the North East VA of the Year winner for 2015 at the NEVA conference held in April in Newcastle. Which she did not expect, Sue said “I am really proud of what I have achieved and how my business has developed. Before I started I had no idea what a Virtual Assistant did. It was a chance conversation with my ex HR Manager that got me started and keen to run my own business.

She is also involved with three networking groups based in Sunderland co-hosting the Sunderland Hour on Twitter with another local VA. She is also a member of the admin team for the North East Inspire Network and most recently as the host for the newly launched branch of Colleagues on Tap in Sunderland.

Every service offered by SMS Business Support is tailored to each individual client’s requirements.

All work carried out by SMS Business Support is carried out under the Data Protection Regulations.
